Lake Charles

So I haven't posted in about a month and I thought I had better send an update before another month goes by! It's easy to lose track of time and get out of the update habit! I was kind of waiting to blog until our lives were a little more settled and we actually knew what we were doing with them! What I mean by that is when we knew whether we were moving to Lake Charles, LA or not....and we are! Cliff accepted a position at Livingway Pentecostal Church to work with their college ministry and to be an assistant to Bro. Massey. The Pastor and his wife are Glen and Madonna Massey, maybe some of you have heard of them, maybe not. They are very sweet people, around 40 years old and they have 2 children a boy Easton who is 12 and a girl Chapel who I think is around 9 or 10. We like them a lot!
It has been a crazy time the last month or so with lots of emotions. We are so excited and so sad at the same time...it's really weird! Excited to be moving to the next phase of our ministry and to do what we feel like God wants us to do, and so sad to leave Meridian and all the people we love so much! We were so stressed about telling our youth kids, but they were great! I mean they were disappointed but they weren't angry like I thought they would be! I was so scared they were going to hate us! Actually, mostly everyone at the church here in Meridian has been very supportive and sweet, and that has meant so much to us!
Our moving date is December 10th. Yea that's not a typing error, 2 weeks from Friday!! To say the least I am a wee bit stressed with school, packing our apartment, throwing out junk we don't want to take to our new house, cleaning and painting. My last final is December 9th and the next day I am moving to a new state...it's a bit overwhelming! Thankfully, Tracy being the best friend ever during all of this has helped me pack and is coming over tonight to help me pack some more! I would still be sitting in the apartment looking around  like an idiot wondering where to start if not for her! I LOVE TRACY!!
So other than that little tid bit of knews not much else is going on! LOL just school which is the Devil! I guess I should be semi-thankful I can't go next semester. I get a break! I really am disappointed I won't be able to go to school in the spring but I will be starting at McNeese State in the fall. It's a state school that is actually located in Lake Charles and from all my research it seems to be a very good school. At this rate I will be graduating in 2090! Hope you all can come! Bring your wheelchairs! ok, enough dramatics, I should still graduate in 2012. In Jesus' name.
So obviously with everything going on we are not making it home this year for Thanksgiving! BOO!! But on a happier note we are going to Nate and Shera's house on Thursday and that will be a great time! We love them so much and I am glad we will be able to spend time with them before we leave! Then on Friday we are having Thanksgiving with Steven and Tracy. Our dearest, most precious, most amazing friends in Meridian! I haven't cried since we made our decision and I have sworn not cry again until we are actually leaving, I will move on to the next part of my post. CHRITMAS!!!
We will be in Indiana December 21-29th! I am soooooooooooooooooooo excited! After all the stress of this semester I can't wait to be home and just relax! A lady that goes to the church in Lake Charles boards dogs and is taking Elvis for us! I am sad the whole family won't be together for the Holidays! I'll miss my little shpoop!! I am not totally sure I remember what the Indiana schedule is looking like so I will post that in a later blog!
On December 3rd, Bro and Sis Baker are throwing the Youth Christmas party at their house! SO glad they offered to take this on and insisted we do absolutely nothing but show up! They are wonderful! The Bakers have also been amazing through all this and WE LOVE THEM!! On December 4th all my school girlies are having a going away sheena/end of the semester party! Isn't that so sweet! Oh how I wish I was graduating with these girls...I feel like we've already been through war together and it's just been 1 semester!
Anyway that is all for now!
