...

Lots has gone on since I last had a chance to write! We had a great Thanksgiving with the Mansfields, we didn't end up going to Biloxi at the last minute but we still had a really fun Thanksgiving! I talked Cliff into getting up at 4am with me on Black friday to go shopping! We were at the mall by 5am and we had a lot of fun although we were so tired! Cliff got a new outfit to wear in the pictures Brandy took of us! We went to Columbia this past weekend to have our pictures taken and they all turned out soooooo good! She got really cute pics with Elvis too! We love them! Friday we took pics and went out to dinner with Mitch and Brandy! Also, Andrea had her baby on Friday! A little boy named Ross Hayden! We are so excited to get to meet him when we come home, and Cliff is so happy to have a nephew! On Sat, Brandy and I slept in while Cliff got up at 4am to go hunting with Nate Rios! I can't believe he actually went hunting because he hates to hunt but he did! They didn't even see a dear though haha! We had lunch with mitch and brandy and shopped with them for a while then we went to Nate and Shera's house to hang out and have dinner! It was a really busy weekend but we had a lot of fun! I have finals this week then I am out until after the new year! I am so ready for the break! This Friday is our youth christmas party and we are going to Christmas Caroling then come back to the church to eat and play games and do whatever! It will be a good time! I am so excited to come home for Chrsitmas I cannot wait!!! We are so excited to see everyone! We will be flying into Louisville on the 19th and flying out on the 27th! We still aren't sure Exactly when we are staying where but this is what it looks like as of right now...

Fri 19th: Staying in Indy
Sat 20th: Lunch with family, staying in Indy
Sun 21st: Staying in Columbus
Mon 22nd: Staying in Columbus
Tues 23rd: Christmas with mom and grandparents, staying in Indy
Wed 24th: family christmas, staying in Columbus
Thur 25th: Family Christmas, staying in Indy
Fri 26th: day in Indy, Staying in Columbus
Sat 27th: Leave for MS

This is most likely the schedule so as everyone knows the days in indy are for people in indy and the days in columbus are for the people in Columbus! We won't be making any special arrangements b/c it's just too hard yada yada you've heard this everytime we come home =)Aslo, Elvis won't be coming home with us! It's so sad, I know, but we just did not want to have to deal with him at an airport! He would go crazy haha so we are leaving him at the kennel! I guess that is everyhting! We leave in 11 days! Woo Hoo!!

I am sitting at work being really bored (as usual snce we have 6746297856485 people that work here now) I have done a lot of my homework today though which is great! I have to say I am thankful they don't mind that I do homework as long as my work is done! I started my painting on canvas last night and it's looking pretty good if I say so myself!! I did pick the easiest painting ever to copy though so that helps lol
I have been pretty busy with school and that is about all I have done the last two weeks. On Saturday I went to Kemper Baker's 13th birthday party which actually was a formal sit down tea party! We all dressed up and all the girls had big fancy hats on...it was so cute! Then that night we went and had dinner at Mark and Kerri's house! They are a semi-new couple at our church and they are so much fun! Next week we are going to Biloxi for Thanksgiving which is on the coast so that should be a lot of fun! Nate and Wendy Barrett are awesome and really fun to hang out with.
I am still really excited to get our pictures done with Brandy, although Cliff said no wedding pictures...he said he didn't care to do that again so poop on him! lol looks like we are just going to have normal couple pictures! I am, however, insisting that we take Elvis and get a family shot for our Christmas Card! He is honestly the cutest dog alive! I love my shmuppy!! We are doing 2 outfits because cliff wants one in his new gray suit but I have no idea what I am wearing...just a good excuse to go buy something I guess! =) That is about everything! My last day at school is Dec 11th and it couldn't come fast enough! We will be home in 30 days!!! YAY!!!!!!

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!!

I have been so busy! School is really killing me right now...monday night I sat at the Mansfields and did 3 1/2 hours worth of homework! I have 3 huge group projects I am working on 4 test between tomorrow and Tuesday, not to mention my English paper, and I have to do a painting on CANVAS!...I am dying! lol Profs honestly think that their class is your only class!
And I also wanted to let you know I have not bitten my nails in 6 days!!! WOO HOO! Yes I have had fake nails on BUT I haven't bitten those either! You can ask Cliff, my fake nails last like 3 days at the most before I have them bitten and torn off!
We are for sure coming in On December 19th! I still have not one clue as to what we are doing yet! I think the only things set in stone are that we are having Christmas dinner with my mom and grandma on the 23rd and Christmas with my aunt and uncle and my In-laws on the 24th and 25th...We don't have exact plans but of course we would be with our fam on Christmas Eve and Christmas day! I am trying to orchastrate a girls day with my friends and a girls day with my family girls like my aunt Frieda, Aunt Bethani, Jeanetta, Andrea...of course I haven't even talked to them about it so if ya'll are reading this what how about it?? lol but hopefully I will have a tentative schedule a week or so before we leave to come there! If anyone has any ideas to get together let me know! I need to start figuring out plans and I don't want to leave anyone out! I am pretty excited that we get to use the new Airport! I didn't even know we were gtting a new airport until Rachel told me in an e-mail this morning!
We have cool Thanksgiving plans! We are going to Biloxi, Ms to have Thanksgiving with Nate and Wendy Barrett...they invited us a few weeks ago and we thought that would be a lot of fun! I think I am going to make some cream cheese pies...my new favorite thing to make! yummy!
My stinky work cut my hours this week! I am so annoyed! I don't work Friday's anymore...That is great except I need money!! lol They just keep hiring new people and we don't have neough work for everyone! Basically we all have about an hour of work in an 8 hour day because so many people work here! It's craziness. Oh well nothing to do about it I guess...
Cliff and I have an appointment to get our pics taken with Brandy Rose the first weekend of December! I CANNOT wait!! She is gonna take pics of us and also take some wedding pics of us! I know we got married over a year ago but we have NO wedding pics other than our album and we want some! She is giving us a great deal too! I think we are going to spend the day in New Orleans taking pics! Her website is www.brandyrosephotography.com you all need to go check her out! She is fabulous!!!

ps. 37 days until we are home!! YAY!!

Love it.

" You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred. You cannot build character and courage by taking away men's initiative and independence. You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves."

- Abraham Lincoln

America...

So the sun did come up today although I was sure it wouldn't. I really can't believe that Barack Obama is our president. I Had a lot of fun voting yesterday for the first time I just hope I am still allowed to vote in 4 years. The one good thing about this election...It is official, ANYONE really can grow up and be anything they want to be in America. It shows how great our country is that a man whose father was a black man from Kenya and his mother a white woman from Kansas, who grew up poor, and raised by his grandparents can grow up to be the President. So I better not hear one more thing about how America and all the white people are racist. Clearly we aren't. I just wish Obama stood for anything at all. Oh wait, he does! Abortion, same sex marriage, and socialism. Everything Imoral and horrible! ok I'm done ranting! =) Nothing can be done about it now. God is still in Control! Thankfully! Rachel Anderson sent me this e-mail this morning and I loved it! Thought I would share it with you all...

Top 10 Predictions No Matter Who Wins the Election

1. The Bible will still have all the answers.

2. Prayer will still work.

3. The Holy Spirit will still move.

4. God will still inhabit the praises of His people.

5. There will still be God-anointed teaching and preaching.

6. There will still be singing of praise to God.

7. God will still pour out blessings upon His people.

8. There will still be room at the Cross.

9. Jesus will still love you.

10. Jesus will still save the lost when they come to Him.

So on to better things, we have youth convention this weekend in Jackson and that will be a lot of fun! There are no girls going but like 6 boys. I am staying with Sis. Stephanie and Kemper in their room so I don't have to get and pay for a room all by myself! Hope everyone has a good day! And of course keep praying for our country.

McCain-Palin 08'!!!

So I am at work so bored because it is the slowest day ever and I thought I should get on and write a little something since it has been a little while! This weekend was Halloween and it was a lot of fun! We had our "Hayfest" on Saturday adn Cliff dressed up as a ghetto old school basketball player and I dressed up as Sarah Palin! It was really fun! We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, played some games, and went on a hayride. My Sarah Palin costume was actually very controversial and that suprised me! We had a bunch of little kids come with their parents and they were all like ew! Why are you Sarah Palin I like Barack Obama! I of course was not going to argue with 10 year olds about the election but it made me sad because it shows you where their parents stand! Even our youth kids were saying they were going for Obama. The poor future of our country...I told Cliff if Obama wins I am taking trips to Cuba and China so I can see my future first hand! LOL I know that's a bit dramatic but I have been known to be a little dramatic.
Tonight we have to go to some restaraunt in Forest, MS for a sectional presbyter vote. Of course in typical preacher fashion you can't do anything without eating and wearing a suit. I am not looking foward to hanging out with a bunch of crotchety old men all night but I promised Sis. Mansfield I would go with her so she wasn't alone!
I only have about a month left of school for this semester and I am so excited!! Right now it looks like I am going to end up with 3 A's and 2 B's....I am disappointed about the B's but Oh well I guess. I was just doing too much this semester and I learned my lesson!
I better get off here and get to work I just got brought a huge stack of claims! Fun! I am sire I will be blogging in the next few days...and either very happy blog or a very sad/furious blog! All depending on the election of course =) I am sure I don't have to tell anyone this but VOTE tomorrow. I am really excited considering this is the first time I have been old enough to vote in a presidential election! I love Democracy!

I hate blogspot...

So I haven't blogged in 400 years because I can never get this stinking website to work! But today, magically, it is up and running perfect so I thought I better take advantage of it while I can!
We went to Memphis with our parents the first weekend of October and had so much fun! It was a very much needed break from work, school, and church work! We went to these two awesome restraunts called Rendezvous which is a rib place and The Pier which is a fancier restraunt that looks over the Mississippi River. They were both so good so if you are ever in Memphis, you definitely should go to those 2 places!!
This past weekend was extremely busy. We went to Columbia, Ms on thursday (10.16.08) to have dinner with Mitch and Brandy Rose and to go to their church's outreach event for the local highschool called "5th quarter" after the football game. It was really fun! They had the Columbia high school drumline play then Royal Tailor Band did a concert and of course they were great! Their lead singer Tauren sang at our wedding if that helps any of you know who they are lol. After 5th quarter we stayed the night with Nate and Shera Rios the Student pastor of Woodlawn. He and Cliff were supposed to go golfing on Friday morning for Nate's birthday but we all stayed up talking until 5 am and when we finally woke up on saturday it was raining so they decided to stay in and play xbox 360 all day! lol! I had lunch with Amber Mac then came back to the Rios' house and chilled with Shera all day and played with their 4 boys! We went out for dinner at the Wingery and then came back to Meridian late Friday night!
Of course we boarded Elvis and I picked him up Saturday at noon. After I picked him up I went to get a pizza from Little Ceasars which is on one of the busiest roads in Meridian called North Hills St. When I opened my door to get out Elvis jumped out of the car and took off running as fast as he could!! I started screaming for him to come back but he didn't listen! He ran straight to the edge of the road and started chasing cars, never actually getting in the raod thank God!! He fnally came back to me when I yelled "Elvis do you want a treat!?!?" haha he will do ANYTHING for a treat! I was crying and shaking and so mad at him! I got him in the car and closed the door to go into little ceasars and this lady was standing there and said "Not exaxtly the best place to let your dog out for a joy run" ugh if you could of heard her attitude and the way she said it you would have died. I was already really upset so I kind of yelled at her...haha I was like "do you honestly think I let my dog run on the busiest street in Meridian? I'm not an idiot!" Then she smiled and made this humph noise so I was just told her that she better mind her own business and not say one more word to me and walked past her. When I came out she was gone whch made me happy because when I calmed down I felt bad and kinda embarrassed for snapping at her like that lol. Oh well!
School is going really well! I dropped my physics class because it was so hard and I was doing really bad in it! I was taking the one day a week class which is an excelled pace class and I need to take that stuff with the slow pace schedule! I am terrible at science and math. So now instead of taking 6 classes I am only taking 5! Midterms came out last week and I have 4 A's and a C! I am pretty sure I can get the C up though so I am not really worrying about it. We have only had 2 tests and I got a 74 on the first on and an 82 on the 2nd one and those are the only 2 grades we have in that class which puts my average at a 78! I should be able to get it to at least a B by finals! Well I think that is about it! Other than I pretty much lost all respect for Colin Powell yesterday when he came out and supported Obama...I am ready for this election to be done and over with! McCain-Palin 08!!!
Also, Cliff and I should be coming to town for Christmas December 19th if all goes as planned! I can't wait!

Hopefully I'll be able to update soon!

My Blog Is Back!!

So I haven't had access to my blog in like 3 weeks! For some reason I couldn't type in the post box to add a new post, and today it is magically working again! Woo Hoo! I have been so rediculously busy with school it's insane! I am definitely starting to regret taking 20 credit hours this semester...I am doing ok so far grade wise, it's just so time consuming! And a lot of the time, I don't have the time!

Rachel came here for my Birthday and we had so much fun! We didn't get to go to New Orleans because of stinking hurricane Gustav! We thought it was going to hit us until the night before, so they evacuated New Orleans and most of the Gulf Coast! We were thinking about going to Indiana but decided not to! Then we were supposed to get Hurricane Ike 2 weeks later, but as you know he went west and hit Galveston, TX. The weekend of my Birthday our church started a revival and so far we've had over 50 people receive the holy ghost! That's really awesome, but we are definitely ready to get back to hearing Bro. Mansfield preaching again! A month of another preacher besides your pastor is no fun! lol even though Bro. Plemons is a good preacher!

I am really excited about this coming weekend because we are going to memphis with Cliff's parents and my Aunt and Uncle! We are going to Graceland and hopefully shopping! haha what trip is comlete without a little mall time? I can't wit to get away for the weekend and see our parents! Well I have a bunch of physics homework and class tonight to I am gonna go!

The Craziness Begins...

So, I started school last Thursday and I love it! =) I was a little shocked though that EVERY teacher gave me homework on the first day! Who in the world thought of that bright idea I'll never know! Needless to say this is the first chance to sit down and write about anything! I am really loving all my classes except for physical science and geography of course lol the two sciences! It is all so boring to me...but I am sure I'll make it though! That is really all that I have been doing lately is going to school, work, church, and home the last few weeks! I have never had so much homework since I have been in college and I have only had a week and a half worth of classes! I am gonna need to be MAJORLY focused this semester, I can already tell!

I am so excited about next Saturday though!!!! A) It's my 21st Birthday! and B) Rachel Anderson flies into Jackson at 12:24pm for a Rachel/Sheena Birthday weekend extravaganza!! It's going to be craziness all weekend! Cliff has already informed me that college football starts that day so me and Rachel better take it somewhere else since as he says "you are ridiculous together"! haha so we are trying to take the party to New Orleans! I am trying to work it all out to go on the Monday after my birthday but we shall see! Don't worry everybody! There won't be any real partying in New Orleans for the newly 21 yr old =) Unless you count a concert on the river, live acrobats and theatrical performances next to Cafe Du Mont, fabulous shopping, and delicious meals at cute little hole in the wall cafes!! Honestly, whoever said they could feel the evil spirits as they crossed the bridge into New Orleans were way more "spiritual" than I ever wanna be! I love it there!! Every town has it's crazies and nut jobs right? HA! But that's all for now ! We are having dinner with Lynette and her family then weare taking the youth bowling tonight from 11-2am so I have to go get ready! I am going to be dead tomorrow! Thank the Lord tomorrow is Saturday!

PS. Happy Birthday tomorrow Aunt Frieda! Love you and wish I was there! =)

Happy Happy!

So we have a ton of catching up to do! Since I last blogged Destined08 came and went and so did our trip to the Commune-ity Meeting in Cincinatti! Also, BMG asked me to stay changed my position and downgraded my job so I have way less responsibility! I know that sounds like a negative but it was actually the Lord answering prayer! As usual =)
Destined went perfectly! The singers and our music was incredible, Ryan did a FANTASTIC job (he preached "Destined Generation"), and the "Aftershock" after hours event was a blast with a 3-on-3 basketball tourney, pizza, a coffee shop, and music! All our hard work, especially Cliff's, definitely paid off! Cliff had everything SO, SO, SO, organized! Everything went off without a hitch and no one was asking any questions about what they had to do or where they were supposed to be! Cliff had iteniraries for everyone MCing and all the volunteers with their individual job responsiblities and duties haha it was rediculous...I don't think I have ever met a more organized person than my husband. I really wish I was more like him! We were so tired after our long weekend but it was great fun! Cliff had a lot of fun with Ryan and Jordan, so I was glad he got to have some guy time which he never gets!
We rode on a van with the MS district youth committee to the Commune-ity Meeting in Cincy and we really enjoyed ourselves. The ride there and back was aweful because there were 11 of us and our luggage in a 12 passenger van but we tried to make the best of it! The church paid our way to go which was great and we are so thankful because we wouldn't have been able to afford to go on our own! We had fun hanging out with a bunch of different Student Pastors and hearing some good preaching! Tim Rutledge did AMAZING! So did Nate Rios and Russ Cripps...they were great messages. Tim preached about the 3 temptations of youth ministry Nate preached about having a vision, and Russ Cripps preached about love with no regrets! They were my 3 favorite and the 2 other speakers I honestly couldn't tell you anything else but their title! hehe Oops! =) The bad thing is that we had to put Elvis Presley in the Kennel and even though he loves it, I hate it! I need to find out what Hotels let shmuppies come along so we can take him everywhere!! He did however make a friend with a ginormous Great Dane named Rosie. It was the funniest thing she would just lay there and lick Elvis while he jumped all over her! It was the owner of the Kennels Great Dane and she told me that they just sold the last of her puppies last week and they were about the same size as elvis and some of them were black so she prolly thought that he was one of her pups! How sweet, except next time I don't think I want my baby mingling with other dogs...especially ones that could eat him for a snack in one bite!!! lol Even though Rosie was super sweet and stood up to give me a hug and lick my face! She was about 4 inches taller than me when she stoof on her hind legs! IKES!
Another really exciting thing is that I start school tomorrow! I am ready to get going and start getting some credits that actually matter under my belt! This semester I will be getting a 4.0! No more of this 3.8 buisness(at least taht is what I am praying!!!) ...Also Rachel Anderson is coming into town for my birthday on August 30th and I cannot wait!!! And my auntie Frieda got me the new iphone 3g...I can't wait to get that in the mail next week!! I know I am spoiled but oh well! haha =)

Blah.

My last day at BMG is Aug 15th...so great except I don't have another job lined up yet. That's no good, but I am working on it! We have the busiest week ever ahead of us since Destined08 is this Friday! We are supposed to have 300+ people there so we are really excited! Cliff has been super busy the last few weeks so I will be happy when it's over so that my husband will actually come home sometime before 11 every night! haha...he just wants everything to be perfect so I understand! Ryan Loyd will be here Thursday afternoon until Monday and I know Cliff is really looking foward to him being here! Sunday is the big kick off for our 1 service and I cannot wait for that! That is basically everything....I know really boring haha! Ttyl!

Trophy Wife...

I decided yesterday I just want to be a trophy wife...haha you know those wives that stay at home all day making sure not a speck of dust enters their house all the while looking fabulous! No work or school just homemaking! lol too bad I live in the real world! This week has been rediculous! The week before last I made a mistake at work...It was a pretty big mistake, but it was caught before anything major happened! Well Monday my boss called me into her office and was talking to me about the mistake and I thought she was going to give me a warning (since this was the 1st big mistake I have ever made) but no, she was like if we weren't going to be short staffed the next three weeks with Tina gone and you being the only other one who really knows how to do claims, I would be letting you go! I was just like wow...I mean she was really nice and wasn't rude but it's still so stupid! I mean she should have just said we would fire you but we are going to use you instead! She was all like we don't want to fire you, but we realize that we aren't your first priority when you have school and church work also going on. Duh! Sorry I am not going to quit school and youth work to be your full time secretary! She told me I had until Thursday to decide wheather I want to be "committed" to them. I asked what that meant and she was like that we can put way more responsibility on you and you will not be making mistakes and you won't be able to take off so much time for church stuff. Well first let's just clarify that I have made no mistakes since I was first learning my job! I made some then but of course I would I didn't know what I was doing at first! And second I make 7.25 an hour (I used to make 7 but after I begged for a raise in may they had told me I was getting in January) so NO, I am sorry you cannot put anymore responsibility on me. I already do all the filing in the entire office (there are 11 ppl pulling files everyday all day), I am first on the phones, I sort the claims, print the claims, write the checks for the claims, mail it all out (Tina does this too but I am her secretary so I get the grunt work) So needless to say, I have applied for 3 other jobs since Monday. 2 retail jobs and 1 with the city of meridian to be a teacher's assisstant! I am praying so hard that I get the teacher's assisstant job but either of the other 2 will be fine just to get me out of here! It's been so akward ever since because I found out that everyone in the office thought that Denise was firing me Monday, not giving me a second chance. You should've seen the confused looks when I came in on Tuesday! It's just really frustrating how gossipy they all are.
So on a better note Holly and her brother Keith came to see us on Thursday night and stayed until Sunday morning! We had so much fun! Keith has a love interest in Jackson MS which is only an hour away from us so we didn't see much of him, and Cliff was so so so busy at the church so we didn't see much of him haha pretty much me and Holly did our thing the whole time! On Saturday Holly and I went to New Orleans for the day and we had a blast! It was kinda rainy for about an hour but other than that it was perfect! Holly had never been there before so it was cool. I loved having her here even if just for a few days! And I think Cliff had fun getting to talk "student pastor talk" with Keith since they are both Student Pastors haha. We also found the tiniest black kitten ever and we brought him home to live with us (as an outdoor cat) and he stayed for 4 days then he ran away!!! I was so sad becauuse he had a hurt paw and I has neosporen and band-aid on it haha oh well...I tried! He also has a flea collar so that should help him out! He was so sweet though...he wasn't scared of people at all and he loved to be held and cuddled which is weird for a stray cat! I hope he comes back! Well I guess that is about everything! Cliff and I are going to Impact conference in Columbia MS tomorrow and Wayne Francis is preaching Student Impact and we are so excited! Cliff is MCing so he gets to introduce Wayne and that will be funny...he's busting out old school memories from IBC haha ....Another part of being a "Trophy Wife" I don't ever have to ask off for anything and we coulda been up at Impact all week like we really wanted! haha oh well...maybe when I'm 60!!

Fun Week!

So this week has been pretty boring! I have been working from 8-3 yesterday and today then tomorrow and thursday I am back to the usual 11-5! Holly and her brother Keith will be here Thursday!!!!! I am so excited I can't wait! We are hanging out Friday in Meridian then Saturday we are driving to Baton Rouge Louisiana to see Tiffany Cook! She moved there a few months ago and since she is Holly's cousin and my friend we really want to go see her! Holly and Keith are staying with us in our apartment so that will be interesting...lol we are gonna be squished but I think it will be a ton of fun!
Cliff has been super busy this week working at the church. We got our light package in that we ordered for Destined 08'! The church is helping the youth pay for it so we got a really nice one! Destined is a little youth conference that Cliff started when he was interning her. We have it every other year when there isn't youth congress so the kids can have a big fun event before school starts. We have been telling everyone about it and inviting every person we see so hopefully there will be a lot of people! Last time we had around 250 people and this time we are hoping to have between 300-350! Ryan Loyd is our speaker and we are flying him in from Orlando and I think he will do a great job! Cliff is really excited to have him come in since they haven't got to hang out in a long time! Another exciting thing going on at our church is that we are going to one service on Sundays. Choir will meet at 8:30am and then we will have Sunday school at 10 and main service at 11 as usual! We didn't just want to cancel church on Sunday night we wanted to still be doing something so Cliff and Lynette got together and thought of themes for each week of the month. One thing we did want to do was relieve some of our members who live 45 min away (which we have a lot) of the gas prices. Cliff worked really hard and came up with a theme for our church as a whole. The theme is "Beyond." and he made a really cool card to hand out to everyone with our new schedule and he made everything look really awesome! He did a great job...although sometimes I think he loves his MacBook more than he loves me, he has gotten pretty awesome at using it! I'll post a pic of the postcard he made when I can get it in a jpg format for some reason it won't let me upload pdf!

Busy, Busy!

So I finally have time to sit here and write haha I have been so busy ever since we got home on Saturday! I had a huge load at work when I got back but I just got all that caught up finally! Last night our choir went to MS campmeeting to sing which was really cool. Campmeeting is the exact same thing as Family Camp in Indiana except it runs from Sunday night until the next Friday night! They make a much bigger deal out of it! EVERYONE comes to campmeeting! We got back last night around 1 and I didn't get to sleep until almost 2 and I had to get up at 6:30 to be at work by 8 which didn't happen lol I got to work at 8 but I didn't get up until 10 after 7! Needless to say I was running around like crazy! We are going back up tomorrow for the "Youth Deal" and again on Friday because Cliff has to do the Ice Breaker game on Fri and they have a big youth night after the Youth Deal service! That will be yet another long night! haha I guess I should get used to it being in youth ministry and all!
We had so much fun while we were in Indiana! I was so glad we got to see all our friends and family...it's so sad we won't be back in Indiana until Christmas! Elvis also had the time of his life doing whatever he wanted at my parents house and playing with Floyd at Cliff parent's house! I felt bad for Floyd though because Elvis kept biting his neck and making him bleed! haha Elvis is pretty vicious! The only bad thing that happened in Indiana was that I broke my camera!! Now we don't have a camera because Cliff has no clue where his is. It's pretty horrible considering I take about a million pics everywhere I go! Well that is about it on the update so I better get back to work! ugh.... haha

OH! I almost forgot!! Holly and John got engaged on the 4th!!!!!! So Exciting!! So me and Cliff will be heading to New York sometime in the Spring for the most incredible wedding ever! I know this for a fact because I have never met more stylish or creative people than Holly and her momma Shelley! We are gonna stay 3 or 4 days after the wedding to make a Vacation out of it since we have both never been to NYC and we have been wanting to go forever! I can't wait!!!

School

So I changed my major yesterday! I am now an Elementary Education major. I have been thinking about doing this since January, but I was pretty set on on Social Work with the thoughts of eventually doing social law. Being the complete hard head that I am thought it would be best to take the Intro to social work class and see if I really loved it as much as I thought! This is a class you normally aren't allowed to take until your Jr year so that is why I hadn't taken it already. Well as it turns out the whole class I was like convicted about whether or not I would be able to do what social workers are required to do. First of all the Social Work profession is extremely liberal in it's views as far as social policy goes, but not only that it's pretty strict on being non biased and you can't bring personal views or beliefs into the job. Well that's pretty hard for me! How am I going to work everyday with hurting people and not be like YOU NEED JESUS!!! lol so needless to say I was praying about it and the pros of teaching far beat the pros of social work and yes even eventually becoming a lawyer! I really felt like I would sacrifice too much as far as ministry is concerned and I'm not willing to do that! The bible does say seek ye first the kingdom, not seek ye first a law degree! haha :-) The only gigantic negative is almost none of the classes I have already taken will go toward my new major. I am starting over 100% I could have cried my eyes out when my advisor was telling me all this! I have to take 18 credit hours for the next 3 semesters and 3 summer school classes just to be able to transfer to Mississippi State from Meridian Community College beacause our MSU campus is only a JR/SR college. That really bites excuse my french! But I can do it...hopefully! I am excited to get back to school though! I love school!

Love you all :)**

Women are stupid...

Ok not really, but I hate working in an office full of, and ran by women! Women are moody, gossipy, whiney, and sometimes just plain rude! I have an extrememly flexible schedule at work becasue when I applied for the job I told them up front that my first responsibility was with the church and I would need time off frequently and that I would always give them plenty of notice and I would be flexible to fill in hours for people where I could or switch days if needed. You know, If you are flexible with me I will always be flexible with you type of situation! Well they agreed to all this and it has worked out great! I have given them a time off schedule up to december just so they would have a way heads up and in return I have worked extra hours came in on my days off and yada yada, you get it! Well last Thursday I had an appointment to take Elvis to Petco for his bath and all that on my lunch break at 2. Well the lady at petco who was working alone took a walk-in Collie like 10 min before I got there. I had told her I was leaving town at 4pm and I would be picking Elvis up at 3:45pm becasue Elvis is little it only takes an hour and 15 min to do everything and she said over the phone the day before that all this was ok and they could get it done. Well since she was an idiot and started washing the Collie who didn't have an appointment ahead of my appointment she told me Elvis wouldn't be able to get his bath until 5 and be done at 6:15 because a collie takes 3 hours! Well I all but cussed the poor woman out because I had my dog with me, I was on my 1 hour lunch break that only had 15 min left and I had to leave town at 4. Needless to say I had to call around find somewhere that could get him in, pay more than usual and I was 30 min late to work! Well I had called before I was late to tell them I was gonna be late and explained the situation! My manager was out of town so i told the lady who was working. Well this lady told my manager yesterday that I was at lunch for an hour and a half and no one knew where I was or what I was doing and I almost got in trouble until I told her I called! That's when my manager bothers to tell me that some of the other girls are complaining about how my schedule is so loose and how I get to do whatever I want and why does Sheena get to do this and that. I was so mad! First of all I work like 20 hours a week for 7 dollars an hour! It's not like they are over paying me for what I do! And all the other girls are full-time! I don't have a fourth of the responsibilities they do! Stupid women! lol ok...I am done ranting....

So I have been thinking about switching my major...again...haha I know, I know, I am gonna be in school until I am 50 but I am thinking about Elementary Education because, A) I love kids and B) It has the perfect schedule for a youth pastors wife! I am off the whole summer so that takes care of all the camps and youth congresses and youth events! Then I am off every holiday including 2 weeks at christmas and a week for spring break! And we will have incredible insurance and retirement! I am just thinking though! And after this next semester I will have enough credits to get a job as a teaching assisstant which is a much better paying job than what I have now, we could start getting benefits now, and I would start having the same schedule as a teacher! I am praying about it of course but it just seems like such a better idea than social work and social law....I know I could do all that if I worked really hard, but what would I have to sacrifice for a law degree? It just doesn't seem like the important thing (as cool as it would be to have a doctorate of law haha) well anyway just pray for me and pray that I get the teaching assisstant job! I am gonna put my application in soon because I think I maybe could get it now since I am only a few credits away...our assisstant pastor works for Meridian Public Schools and he is helping me get a foot in! I'll let you all know how it goes and feel free to comment your opinions! I need advice! lol!

Ps...We leave for Indiana this Friday!!! WOO HOO! I'll post our schedule in a seperate blog!

Crazy!

I had the craziest weekend this past weekend! I went up to Jackson on Thursday to see Cliff and hang out at camp which was really fun up until the after hours was over and we were getting ready to go to bed. I brought Elvis with me and Nate Rios wanted to come over and see him because he loves pugs and thinks Elvis is the cutest dog ever (Which he is). Well Elvis gets really hyper around new people so of course he was being crazy hyper and running around trying to play with Nate when he started kind of making this choking sound which he does when he is so hyper he loses his breath. Since he does it sometimes we didn't think anything of it but then he fell over and passed out! I thought he died because when he fell over he peed and when something dies that is what it does, so of course I was hysterical! In a few seconds though he woke up and slowly came back to normal. We took him to the animal hospital the next morning and they said he had a mild seizure and that it most likely would never happen again. The vet said when small dogs get super hyper and lose oxygen it can sometimes cause a disruption in their brain and they will seizure. Elvis has been completely normal ever since so we are just keeping a close eye on him! It was terrible though...I really hope it never happens again!

On a better note Nona Freeman was at our church this weekend and of course she was awesome! She did a ladies service on Saturday morning then she did both services yesterday (sunday). She is turning 92 next month so she was really feeble compared to last time I saw her like 2 years ago. I have a book of hers that I haven't read yet called Give Us This Day and she signed it and I got my picture taken with her. She is incredible and we don't have her around much longer so I thought it was pretty cool to get to spend time with her! Perk of being a preachers wife...you get to hang out with the really big time people! haha

I hate Insurance

So I have been trying to find car insurance all week since State Farm is cancelling our insurance effective June 24th. I am so annoyed that the cheapest thing I could find is almost 200 a month and almost 400 for the down payment! It's because we are young but I have 3 speeding tickets and Cliff has 1...state farm only allows 3 per household and they were sooooo cheap! only 100 a month! I have a ticket that goes off my record at the beginning of August so we are gonna go back to state farm then. This is when being an adult is really bad! haha oh well my own fault I guess! I am going up to camp today at 4 and I can't wait! I am going to be dead tired though because I woke up at 6 to get everything ready to go and I had to be at work today at 8am! That is way too early when you are used to going in at 11! Elvis is going to camp with me and he is getting a bath on my lunch break so he will be pretty and smell good to meet everyone! I really wish he wasn't so hyper! He has calmed down a ton with me and Cliff but when he meets new people he turns into this annoying psycho dog!! I can't wait for the day when he is the fat lazy pug he is supposed to be! haha I just want him to lay around and be calm when people meet him and not want to play constantly! He's still a puppy so I shouldn't complain...he'll grow out of it!

8 days until Indiana!!!

I'm Back!!

I really wanted to write yesterday but I was so unbelieveably swamped at work it was crazy! I had no free time to even get on the internet better yet sit and write a blog update! I came in at 11 today and it is 3:15 now and I just got caught up! So now I am rewarding myself with free time to write in my blog! haha This weekend was so hectic...we got home on friday and pretty much slept all day since we didn't go to bed until after 2am every night! Then I got up Saturday around 1pm to start on the rediculous amount of laundry we had! I did 8 loads...please don't ask how 2 people managed to dirty that much laundry in 4 days because I am still wondering! Camp was a blast though! I loved it way more than I thought I would...it was a lot like Indiana camp minus all my Indiana friends! I met this girl named Amber McEntyre who is 21 and From Woodlawn Church in Columbia and we are just the best of friends now! haha she is nuts and we had so much fun! Cliff and I also met and hung out with the Jr High pastor from Woodlawn Britt Ham and His wife Julee...they are awesome! Then there was Nate Rios who is Cliff's very new best friend...they really bonded this week...they thought each other were so cool so of course they loved each other! It was an ego boost every time they hung out!! hahahaha but seriously he is a super cool guy and his oldest son Traycin who is 5 was there all week and he hung out with me and Amber all week! He is the cutest little boy ever! We didn't really get to hang out with Nate's wife considering she is 9 months pregnant with their 4th child! Cliff said all the Rios kids are out there this week and his wife! She is brave to be out at camp ready to pop at any moment!! Camp probably would have been pretty bad if I hadn't found some people I liked so much to hang out with lol! Cliff is back there now and I wish I could have gone! I don't know if the 16-19 age group would have been nearly as fun as last weeks 12-15 though...all they did was sit in the dorm and talk about boys and who was going out with who...it was hysterical! They all took it sooooo seriously, but the best part was that they never actually talked to who they were going out with lol just their friends running messages back and forth! The services were INCREDIBLE...Herald Linder preached and he is so funny. 18 kids got the Holy Ghost this week including one of our guys named Quinton! We thought he had it but he said he wasn't sure if he did or not so we told him he better get to the altar and make sure! haha
Elvis loved staying at the kennel and I think he has been sad ever since he came home! He had so much space to run around at the kennel now he is stuck in his little carrier again! The lady said Elvis was her favorite because he didn't sull when we left him like most pets do and he never made a mess in his cage...he only went potty outside! I was pretty proud lol Then she said that he wouldn't play with her very much he just ran figure eights around her backyard until he was about ready to pass out haha! Since Cliff left me alone this week I was scared to stay in the apartment by myself but I did it last night! And Elvis slept in the bed with me!! Most of the night anyway...he woke me up around 4 this morning walking around the bed and jumping at the lumps in the covers so I had to put him in his own bed! Well that is pretty much the big catch up over the last week but I'll let you know how staying by myself this week goes! I went to bed at like 10 last night because I thought if I stayed up too late I would freak myself out! haha I am going out to camp Thursday to stay since I don't work Friday and I am sooo excited!! A)because I miss Cliff and B) I get to see Amber, Sis. Julee, and Traycin!!!! woo hoo!
10 days until Indiana!!!!!!!!

I have this burning feeling...

on my face! I went tanning last night for 10 min because I am pretty pale and I didn't want to fry next week at MS camp in the 5 billion degree weather! Well my whole body got a great start of a tan since I had gone tanning a few times before I went to Indiana last time! But my poor face is absolutely fried! It hurts so bad to smile, talk, and in the shower I was in tears when the water hit my face! When I went tanning before I wore a face lotion that has a spf 15 sunscreen in it so that had to be what protected my face last time. Well this time I hadn't put face lotion on my face in 2 days because I have this disgusting patch of skin that I thought might be ring worm (it's not) and I was hoping it would go away if I just let my skin be for a few days. Well that is what I get for breaking my own rules that you never go out with out sunscreen on your face because A) you will get wrinkles and B) you will be in severe pain if you are as fair as I am! lol oh well I guess...the things we go through to be beautiful!!
Moving on....
This will be my last blog for the next week because Cliff and I are leaving for Teen camp early monday morning and I never get online during the weekend. We are taking Elvis to the "Perfect Paws Puppy Resort" for the whole week! I am really sad because I hate that he will think we just left him with strangers who don't even love him! And he is really needy! We normally leave him with Lynette but she will be out at camp too and he is way too much of a handfull to stay in the camper with her and her poodle Cookie. I guess he'll have fun because they keep them in really spacious kennels where they can run around and play and I know he will be in heaven since we keep him in a cage where he can't do anything but stand and turn around. And they only charge 15 dollars a day which is great! They were reccomended to us by a friend (Tracy) so if they do anything to hurt Elvis I'll just blame her! HAHA just kidding Trace! I have to get to work now but I am sure I'll have plenty to write about after my first Mississippi camp...I know there is no possible way it could be any better than Indiana Camp but I am trying to keep and open mind! haha bye!

Ps. 21 days until our Indiana trip!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wedding Album has arrived....

So we FINALLY got our wedding album last night (June 3)! I ordered it at the beginning of January so I was getting pretty mad that I had to wait 5 months! Then I got it and now I could never be mad at those incredible photographers! lol even if they did charge my parents an arm and a leg...it's the most perfect album in the world! They did such a fantastic job putting it together like a story. Another thing I love is that our pictures are the actual pages! This is fantastic becasue they can't fall out and accidentally get crumpled and they won't yellow over time....how wonderful!!! I took it to work with me today and showed everyone and of course it is going with me to church tonight! I want everyone to see our wedding since not that many people form Meridian were able to come! And I can't wait to bring it home with me to Indiana in 23 days in case any of you are counting! lol I know you all will love it as much as I do!

So I think I am lazy...

I have new summer hours at work, Mon-Thurs 11 to 5! Those are GREAT hours! I was so excited because I was thinking I could sleep in until 8:00 or 8:30 since I don't have to be at work then anymore and work out, take my time getting ready, do a little house work, take care of elvis, then eat! This is a great plan right? In theory yes! BUT I CANNOT GET UP! My annoying alarm goes off and I turn it off and sleep until almost 10 and I have to leave at 10:40, so I end up rushing around to get ready and take care of elvis. Forget any house work or eating or working out! I have only managed to get up early like 3 days and I still didn't even get up when my alarm went off...what is wrong with me? I know that I hate to work any job lol and my job really isn't that bad, the motivation to wake up and get going in the morning just isn't there! I hope I am not getting too lazy....

Sheena the baby

So Cliff and I were both out of town this weekend. I was in Hattisberg at High Praise which is like a much smaller Music Fest and he was preaching a youth service 3 hours away in New Albany! Our little weekend adventures required me coming home a day earlier than him meaning I had to stay by myself at our apartment! Needless to stay I was terrified! I tried calling my friend Tracy to see if her and her girls wanted to come over and watch a movie but they were out eating and didn't get my call...so I went out to get the movie "Enchanted"...I thought if I got a happy movie I would be ok haha but by the time I got back home from the movie store I had scared myself so bad thinking of being out in the woods by myself that I was scared just being awake in the apartment by myself! How rediculous am I!?!?! HAHA so Tracy being the most wonderful best friend that she is let me come over to her house and stay on their couch so I wouldn't be afraid! I had fun though...Tracy tried to stay up but ended up falling asleep and me and Savannah, her awesome 6yr old stayed up half the night watching "enchanted"! In two weeks Cliff will be out at Senior youth camp for the whole week...I am praying I won't have to embarrass myself again by going over to someone else's house to stay!

Blogging

So I have done it! I have created a blog...I know my husband will laugh at me and tell me I am rediculous, but oh well, it's worth the scorn! I have decided that a blog is like a journal you don't mind everyone reading and I love to journal! Being so far away from home it might be fun to let everyone know what's going on with my day to day things...My sister-in-law Andrea has a blog that I get on and read a lot, at first I thought it was kinda weird to let everyone know your business so publicly (No offence to you my sweet sister, I love you!) but then after a while the idea seemed great! Some of the craziest things happen to me and I can't call everyone everytime something fun, or sad, or happy, exciting happens in my life but they can come here when they have time to see what's going on in my life! Hope you all enjoy!
