New Orleans, School, Weddings and Birthdays!

Hello my worldwide blog audience! Or just my Indiana peeps! Or maybe no one reads this! Who knows!?!? My life is becoming a whirlwind yet I have found time to blog! Last Friday was our (RE)New Service and Tyler did a phenomenal job! He preached "When in Rome" and no he didn't say do like the Romans! haha

We went to New Orleans Monday and it was an absolute blast! Cliff, Tyler, Lindsey, and I literally laughed all day long. It was a much needed break! We ate at Acme Oyster house (An absolute must if in NOLA), checked out the new Anthropologie store (I was so heartbroken I am broke), and I tried Pinkberry for the first time! It was a heavenly explosion in my mouth! Honestly, I thought ok, this is some trendy hype on twitter...Like everyone is twittering "Off to get pinkberry" or "eating some pinkberry" just like everyone does when they all say they are having sushi for lunch (Who has Sushi EVERYDAY!?!?!) but ladies and gentelmen the hype is real! Pinkberry will change your life!! Other than that we just did typical New Orleans things and it was great fun! Tyler left on Tuesday and Elvis was thoroughly devestated Tyler was his new BFF. I think they were in love.
School is killing me! It's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO busy. This is the busiest semester I have ever had as far as course work goes. I also got a school and my hours set up, I start tomorrow. If you don't believe I am running around like a mad woman here is my schedule:

Monday- West Lauderdale Elementary 8-10am
Tuesday-School 12:30-1:45pm and 4-6:15pm
Wednesday-West Lauderdale Elementary 8-10am School 4-6:15pm Church 6:30 until
Thursday-School 12:30-1:45pm, 4-6:15pm, and 6:30-9:15pm
Friday-West Lauderdale Elementary 8-10am

And I applied for a job today at the MSU Riley Center downtown (it's like a music hall/conference center) that I will work at literally any time mon-fri when I am not at school. The hours would be 10:30-7pm but I would go to work then leave for school then come back to work on the days that I have school. PRAY I get the job! But if I do there will barely be time for breathing! Who need to breathe anyway?

On next Thursday the 2nd I am leaving for Canada!! Stacey Maclauchlan is marrying Dexter Rubio and I am so excited to be a part! I wish cliff was going though. Bummer. I'll be home Sunday the 5th so it's a crazy quick trip!

The only other exciting thing is that Monday is my Birthday! WOO HOO! I'll be 23! how fun! There are really no plans. How boring, I know. I used to plan parties for myself but I don't have time to now. I am hopefully gonna have a birthday dinner with Cliff, Lindsey, Steven and Tracy! My bestest friends in Meridian! I love them all so! In related Birthday news I made myself a gluten free birthday cake with gluten free triple chocolate chip icing (it's delish believe it or not) and Sis. Cooksey made me my own Sweet Potato pie which might as well be cake and it is also Gluten free. Needless to say I have had cake and pie for breakfast lunch and dinner, literally, for the last 2 days. I am not complaining at all about this!
I guess that is all! Here are some pics form NOLA!

This is me loving Pinkberry with my whole heart!

This is a super creepy bathroom sign we saw!

Cliff and I looking very scary bc we are so tired, but happy nonetheless bc we are eating AOH...our fave!

School is the devil!!!

So I started school Wednesday and have had 4 of my 5 classes. I literally want to cry already! I know that probably sounds dramatic, but if you could just listen to all my education department profs talk about how overwhelmed we are going to feel, you would be overcome with pity! I literally had a professor say yesterday, "If you don't feel totally overwhelmed and stressed in the next 2 weeks, you aren't doing the work." And on top of that we have to start our in class hours for the education block. we have 10 weeks to do 30 hours. 5 observation hours and 5 one on one student hours for grades k-1, 5 of each for grades 2-4, and 5 of each for grades 5-8. Don't ask when I'm finding the time to do that. And they aren't even assigning us a school! We just have a letter to take around until we find a principal who will let us use their school. And we have to find our school by this coming Tuesday! Holy Moses!! Other than wanting to cry everytime I am there, I am SO glad school has started! I only have 3 semesters of classwork left, then my student teaching, then I graduate!!!! YAY! I AM SO HAPPY!!!!!! I do not think there is anyone in the world who will be as happy to graduate as I will be. I need to hone my moonwalking skills because I am gonna do that all the way across the stage. lol.

In other news...Tyler Bryant is in town and staying with us until Tuesday! On Monday we are planning to go to New Orleans! I am so excited, I really hope it works out!! We are having our quarterly (RE)New service tomorrow night and Tyler is the guest speaker so that will be a lot of fun! I am haivng lunch with Lindsey and Joy Carlen tomorrow(I've never met Joy really so I'll have another friend tomorrow! Fun!!) then after lunch Linds and I are cleaning the youth center to get it ready for the service. That is about the extent of my exciting, high profile life (not). I shall blog again soon! And I am so totally proud of myself for getting back into the blog swing! Who knows what I'll be blogging next! It's just a continuous exciting mystery for all of you I am sure! haha =) Well I am exhausted since learning literally hurts my brain so I am going to bed!
GOOD NIGHT ALL!

ps. Elvis is sleeping under the covers while I'm writing this and he is snoring so loud! It's cracking me up! (for those who care, which I know is all of you)

There's no place like home...

So I'm sitting in my childhood home in my old bedroom which is now a guestroom (thanks a lot guys I miss you too!) and I'm mentally preparing myself to go home to MS tomorrow. There are some trips to Indiana where I cannot wait to get back to MS then there are the trips where you wish you could be 16 again and just move in with your parents! Haha this is one of those for me! Not because I don't absolutely love MS, I can honestly say I do! And I am homesick for my peeps there! But this was a trip where I realized how much I'm missing with my forever friends...you know, the people who have been constant for most of your life. My best friend has a baby who will be a year old in October who I've only seen twice, another close friend is marrying someone I've never met and I'm in the wedding! My little cousin is moving to Indy for college, and I'm just missing it all! Playing catch up is just too exhausting! Please don't let this be a Sheena pity party! I'm just feeling a little reflective that's all! (that's what I'm telling myself...do you all buy it? hehe) Okay! Enough! I'm through depressing you all! Dry your eyes people I'm on to the good news! We had an absolute blast on this trip!! I got to have an SNKH Reunion!! For those of you just dying to know that's a Sheena, Nicci, Kathy, Holly reunion! The last time all 4 of us were together was my wedding so the excitement level was obviously off the charts! 2 of our close friends got married!! Congrats Dacia and Jordan! And we got to spend time with our 3 neices and nephew! Also, my sis-in-law, Andrea is prego again with baby #5!! yay for Andrea and Trayton! I would like to thank them for taking the grandbaby pressure off of us! Lol just kidding =) we also had fun with our parents of course just hanging out, eating A LOT, and catching up! The whole trip was a success overall! Well I'm literally falling asleep! If this is the most gramatically incorrect thing you have ever read it's because I wrote it on my iPhone! Sorry! Goodnight peeps!!

Hello everyone!! (look at me posting 2 times in 1 week!! & you all thought I was lying about trying harder!) Today was a good day! I made 50 bucks at a yard sale! woo woo! I was hoping to make more like 100 but that is ok. Elvis got shaved and he is sooooooo cute!! The bad thing aboout today is that I haven't even begun to pack for Indiana, I have a sink full of dishes that need to be done before we leave and I have 3 laundry baskets worth of clean clothes on the floor in my living room to be folded!! AHHHHHH!! We are also getting ready to go to Long's Fish Camp to eat with Mark and Kerri Weaver (That isn't a bad part of the day). We are leaving directly after church tomorrow, and stopping in Hartselle, AL where Cliff is preaching tomorrow night then we are leaving early monday to head to INDIANA! My favorite place on earth! Kind of-ish...lol we will be in Indiana until the 17th! Columbus the 9-12 then Indy the 13-17 I think is how we are doing it! We shall see =) I don't think we are gonna make it to church which stinks...I feel like i haven't been to my home church in years! At Christmas for sure though!! This trip is way more hectic than usual because of Cliff being in Jordan and Dacia's wedding (congrats guys!! yay!!) but it will still be a good trip! Can't wait to see everyone!!!!
